Whylon Cardigan (Norwegian and English)

The Whylon Cardigan is knitted top-down. First, the back piece is knitted back and forth with increases to shape the shoulders. Stitches are picked up from each shoulder for the front pieces, which are then knitted separately back and forth with increases for the neck. Once the yoke is complete, the different parts are joined into one, and the body is knitted back and forth. Stitches are picked up along the armholes for the sleeves, along the neckline for the neck, and the button band is knitted last. A pattern is knitted into the yoke, the bottom of the body, and the bottom of the sleeves.

Peer Gynt from Sandnes Garn: 75% Norwegian wool, 25% wool from Peru (not superwash)
Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes garn: 57% mohair, 28% silk and 15% wool
