I started creating because I was missing something. I never quite found the clothes I wanted to wear – the ones that felt personal, feminine and unique. So I started making them myself.

What started as a simple idea quickly developed into a passion. I discovered how much peace and joy there is in creating with my hands, and how the process itself can be as valuable as the result.

Much of what I know, I have learned from – and with – my mother and grandmothers. Their knowledge and patience have taught me that needlework is not only about technique, but also about tradition, care and love that lives on for generations.

Creating is a way to express myself, to find balance in a busy everyday life, and to put my own stamp on things. I think many people can identify with the desire to own something that feels unique – and perhaps that is precisely what makes the joy of creation so valuable.

Over time, the desire to share what I create grew – because I hope it can inspire you to find your own path into the joy of creation.

Through Thea M I share my projects, small and large, and I hope you find some inspiration here. My designs are made to be followed by both beginners and experienced knitters, just as I have grown with knitting.
